LEWISTON — Lewiston Adult Education announces its summer course schedule. Academic and Workforce Training courses will be held in the mornings, afternoons and evenings starting July 5.
Workforce certification classes will include the culinary arts certificate training course and office practice, which counts as credit toward the clerical certificate.
Computer classes will include Absolute Beginner Computer, Computer Literacy, MS Excel I & II, MS Word for the Workplace, QuickBooks Workshop, and Introduction to HelpDesk, a new class.
Academic classes, which count as diploma credit as well as college/nursing school prerequisites, will include Algebra I, Applied Algebra & Math Review, Biology, Chemistry and Critical Reading Strategies for College and Work.
All the above classes start July 5 and meet on the Lewiston High School campus, 156 East Ave.
GED, English for Speakers of Other Languages and Adult Basic Education classes are also available, and are held at the Adult Learning Center at 145 Birch St.
