SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Air Force Airman 1st Class Tonya L. Cole graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness and basic warfare principles and skills.
Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Cole earned distinction as an honor graduate.
She is the sister of Julie Ward of Hebron Road, Oxford.
The airman graduated in 2007 from Edward Little High School, Auburn, and received an associate degree in 2010 from Southern Maine Community College, South Portland.
