Bean supper

RUMFORD — A public bean hole supper will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, July 2, at Blazing Star Lodge, Route 232, Rumford Corner.

Menu includes beans, hot dogs, cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, bread, coffee, punch and pie. Adults $7, under 12 $3. Takeout available. There is a stair chair on the back stairs. For more information, call Joe Roy at 364-4715.

Fourth of July

RUMFORD — The town of Rumford will host the 2011 Fourth of July celebration Monday, July 4, to honor America and the sacrifices made by our servicemen and women. The gates at Hosmer Field Complex, Route 2, will open at 4 p.m. with activities starting at 5 p.m.

Music, family entertainment, a service ceremony and a fireworks show presented by Atlas Pyrovision Productions will take place. Rain date will be Tuesday, July 5.

Sites are available for vendors and organizations for a minimum donation of $25.

This is a nonalcoholic event. No glass containers or pets will be permitted in the complex.
