AUBURN — The Maine Heat, a 13-and-under baseball team based out of Auburn, continued its winning ways with a 6-0 victory over the Maine Dirtdogs from Saco.

The Heat got a great pitching performance from Llewelyn Jensen, who allowed only four hits, striking out four in the complete-game shutout.

Brandon Knapp and Jensen led the offense for the Heat with two hits apiece. Kyle Romero and Brandon Varney had RBI hits.

John Petrie pitched a strong game for the Dirtdogs, allowing only eight hits over six innings.

The Heat play the Dirtdogs again Thursday in Saco and then play The Maine Mainers from South Portland on July 2. Each game is key in determining who will make the New England tournament.
