DEAR SUN SPOTS: In 1992 the USA Weekend Sunday paper supplement was running a series of recipes called “Weekend Cook” featuring Lee Bailey. There was one that featured grilled shrimp, and I always got raves about it. Somehow I have misplaced the recipe, I have searched in cookbooks and online but cannot find it, and have been unable to replicate it from memory. If someone out there has it or knows which recipe book Bailey included it in, I would be very grateful. Thank you. — Linda Deane, sterlin@roadrunner.com

ANSWER: Sun Spots wasn’t able to find it online either, which isn’t surprising. 1992 was a bit before everything was on the Internet. Bailey died in 2003, so he doesn’t have a website where you can make a query. Hopefully readers will come through.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have a number of items I would like to place on eBay but want someone to do it for me. Is there anyone in the Lewiston or Auburn area who provides that type of service? I continue to enjoy Sun Spots, always something of interest. Thank you. — No Name via email

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have your Nov. 26, 2007, column listing Bill Cartmel as someone who purchases record albums. The number listed is no longer in service. Do you or does anyone else have any new information about him or do you know of anyone, locally, who would be interested in purchasing old record albums? Thank you. — No Name, Auburn

ANSWER: Sun Spots does not know what happened to Bill. There is not much of a market for albums — and none in L-A of which she is aware, but Sun Spots does have three possibilities:

* Enterprise Records, 613A Congress St., Portland, 773-7672. The owner, Bob, does the buying, so you need to talk to him.’

* The Record Connection, 254 Main St., Waterville, 873-1798. They are open Tuesday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

* Bill O’Neill’s House of Rock ‘n’ Roll, 840 U.S. Route 1, Saco, 283-1966. He is very selective and only buys a few.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have been suffering from lower back and hip pain for a couple of years now, and I have been informed that an inversion or teeter table may help. I don’t have much money, but if someone had one hanging around and would part with it for a fair price, I would be interested. Please call me at 375-4718. Thanks, Sun Spots. — Steve Anctil Sr., Sabattus
