LISBON — The Lisbon Historical Society at 18 School St. in Lisbon Falls will feature guest speaker Charles Anthony of Durham, a living history presenter of American history, at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 13.

Anthony’s presentation, “Loyalists in the American Revolution: The Story from the Other Side,” is free and open to the public.

It will highlight Mr. William Tyng, a loyalist, and his wife of Gorhamtown, present-day Gorham. It will be done in the garb of a well-heeled gentleman of circa 1776, all hand-constructed by the speaker. Time will be allowed for questions and discussions, followed by refreshments.

Anthony is a member of The British Brigade and the 74th Regiment, Argyle Highlanders-Scots Troops in English Service. He is a volunteer at Minuteman National Historic Park in Concord, Mass., and a self-taught tailor of men’s uniforms and civilian attire. He is a published author of several articles related to the American Revolution and has received awards from Early American Life Magazine in several categories.
