AUBURN — Lorraine L. Dehetre, 75, of Lewiston passed away peacefully Thursday, July 7, at The Hospice House, with her husband and her daughter at her bedside following a short illness.

She was born in Lewiston, Sept. 30, 1935, one of four children born to Leo and Yvonne (Albert) Morin Sr. and was educated in Lewiston schools. On May 25, 1963, Lorraine married Laurier P. Dehetre at Saints Peter and Paul Church in Lewiston and together they remained lifelong residents of this community. She was a member of Holy Cross Parish.

As Lorraine and Larry raised their daughter, she worked as a housewife and homemaker. Mrs. Dehetre always took great pride in herself, her family and in maintaining a well-kept home, both inside and outside as well as cooking and providing all the basic necessities of home for her family. She enjoyed quality time with her family, going out to eat, and overnight trips. She was a loving, devoted and hard-working wife and mother who will be dearly missed.

She leaves her husband of 48 years, Laurier “Larry” P. Dehetre of Lewiston; her daughter, Ann Dehetre-Arsenault and husband, Peter, of Lewiston; a stepgranddaughter, Aimee Arsenault of Auburn; her brother, Roland Morin and wife, Mona, of Lewiston; four nieces, Michelle Brown and husband, Wayne, of Auburn, Celeste Moody and husband, Ronald, of Poland, Catherine Bouchard and husband, Scott, of Lewiston and Marie Boissoneault and husband, Keith, of North Waterboro; and a sister-in-law, Rena Morin of Wells.

Lorraine was predeceased by an infant son; her sister, Doris Allard; her brother, Leo Morin Jr.; and her parents.
