BETHEL — Mollyockett Day will be held Saturday and Sunday, July 16 and 17, with the theme of “Our River Runs Through It.”

Events over the two days will include a grand parade, arts and crafts, free horse-drawn wagon rides, a belly dancing demonstration, music, children’s entertainment and games including a frog jumping contest, a road race, a walking event and diaper dash for infants and toddlers, fireworks and a Maine jewelry and gem auction.

Two events are being added this year on Sunday. At noon, the first Tubing and Treasure Scavenger Hunt will be held. Participants will float down the Androscoggin from Bethel Outdoor Adventure & Campground to Davis Park on innertubes and then hunt for Maine gems and treasures on the Bethel Pathway all the way back to BOA. At 3 p.m., an old-fashioned lobster bake complete with all the fixings will be held at the Rooster’s Roadhouse under a tent.

The full schedule and event lodging promotions can be found at www.mollyockettdays.com, www.bethelmaine.com or by calling the Bethel Area Chamber of Commerce at 800-442-5826.
