LEWISTON — Gratienne “Grace” Lapointe, 94, formerly of Auburn, a resident of Montello Manor for the past 10 years, passed away on July 13, at Montello Manor.

She was born Feb. 28, 1917, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Adelard and Claire (Berube) Lapointe. She was a 1937 graduate of Livermore High School. Grace spent most of her adult years living and working in Lewiston-Auburn.

She was employed by the mills most of her life. Grace enjoyed traveling, visiting any of her 12 brothers and sisters and their families. She played the piano and would often play Christmas music for clubs as well as friends. She was a member of Le Montagnard Snowshoe Club and also joined an Auburn bowling league. She was a communicant of St. Louis Church in Auburn.

She is survived by two brothers: Charlie Lapointe of Lewiston and Arcade Lapointe of Michigan; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by six brothers, Aurele, Emeril, Omer, Ernest, Leger and Severe Lapointe; and four sisters, Dora Lapointe, Emilienne Lefebvre, Rose Blais and Leonie O’Brien. Messages of condolence may be sent to www.finleyfuneralhome.com.
