LEWISTON — Alfred J. Bissonnette, 85, formerly of 1211 Sabattus St., died Wednesday, July 27, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion.
He was born in Lewiston, Nov. 7, 1925, a son of the late Napoleon and Alice Gauthier Bissonnette. He was educated in Lewiston schools.
Mr. Bissonnette was a member of The Prince of Peace Parish at The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul and worked for 44 years at Bates Manufacturing Co. at the Hill and Bates Division.
He was a member of the Lewiston Senior Citizen, Horizon 55 and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
He is survived by his niece, Suzanne B. Csoros and husband, Peter J. Csoros, of Minot; nephews, Arthur L. Bissonnette and wife, Donna (McCann), of Bucksport, Richard R. Bissonnette and wife, Deborah (Begin), of Auburn and Donald N. Bissonnette and wife, Bonnie (Clark), of Waterville; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Carmen E. Bissonnette; and a brother, Arthur Bissonnette.
