AUBURN — Wine tasting, decadent desserts, a chocolate fountain and a bruschetta bar will highlight a special fundraiser for Vivian St. Onge at 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at the Hilton Garden Inn. The event will raise funds for The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope and Healing. Mary Dempsey, sister to Patrick, will make a guest appearance.

Vivian St. Onge will ride with “Team CURE” in the Dempsey Challenge on Oct. 8 and 9. Her goal is to raise $5000 or more for the Dempsey Center.

St. Onge, of Greene, previously cycled eight years in the Trek Across Maine. This year, she is switching gears to support The Dempsey Center as she was recently diagnosed with breast cancer herself. She says, “The Dempsey Center provided me with the support and services I needed to move forward. The center provides free education, support and wellness services to individuals and families. Supporting this means continued access to those in need.”

Event sponsors for the Wine Tasting and Decadent Desserts fundraiser are the Dunkin Donuts shops on Main Street, Lewiston, and Donovan’s Auto Sales, Greene.

Music will be provided by CD Express of Gardiner. A multi-raffle of special gifts and business donations will also take place at the event. Cash bar will be available.
