Bunnell

RAYMOND — William and Ellen Bunnell celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on June 30 at their residence in Raymond, with a barbecue with their children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.   

The couple met in 1959 while Mr. Bunnell was in the United States Air Force stationed at Offutt AFB in Omaha, Neb. The former Ellen Wolfe was a resident of Omaha and the two fell in love and married.  

They have four children, Sheryl Bunnell of Everett, Mass., Laurie Bunnell of Oxford, Mary Bunnell of Mechanic Falls and William J. Bunnell Jr. of Raymond. They also have three grandchildren, Jessica Sibley of Auburn, Fred Sibley III of Winterport and Robert A. Troiano Jr. of Lewiston, and two great-grandchildren, Emily Champagne and Bryce Champagne.  

Mr. and Mrs. Bunnell are now retired, living in Raymond. Mrs. Bunnell loves to bake cookies for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, while Mr. Bunnell likes to eat them.
