LEWISTON — Two Finance Committee decisions will bring councilors in for an extra meeting this month.
Councilors have scheduled a special meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, to review two items voted down by the City Finance Committee — a new Public Works building heating system and proposed changes to stormwater separation project in the White and Bardwell streets neighborhood.
City Clerk Kathy Montejo said the Finance Committee suggested rebidding work for the new heating system since only one company submitted a bid for the work.
City staff also proposed a change to the White and Bardwell streets stormwater separation project. That change would add $11,900 to the project cost.
Councilors normally meet twice during the summer, in July and August.
The council’s next regular meeting is scheduled for Aug. 16.
