OLD ORCHARD BEACH, Maine (AP) — The manager of a beachfront nightclub in Maine’s Old Orchard Beach is vowing to rebuild after a fire destroyed the building where it was located.

The fire at the Galaxy nightclub was reported about 8:30 a.m. Monday.

Galaxy manager Danny Sisson says he’s grateful the club was closed and there was no one in it when the fire broke out. There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is being investigated by state and federal law enforcement agencies.

Sisson tells the Portland Press Herald he thinks the fire was deliberately set, but the investigators still classify the cause as undetermined.

Sisson says there were plans to install a sprinkler system in the building after the summer season is over.
