WILTON — Police say a Taser was used on a local man Sunday morning when he became uncooperative and would not submit to arrest.
Timothy Greenlaw, 40, faces charges of domestic criminal mischief and refusing to submit to arrest following the incident, Sgt. Richard Billian of the Wilton Police Department said.
Wilton officer Brandi Alton responded to a High Street residence along with assistance from Jay Police and a Franklin County Sheriff’s Department deputy after receiving information that there was a handgun inside the residence, he said.
When Greenlaw would not submit to arrest after several commands, the Franklin County deputy deployed his Taser, he said.
Greenlaw was released Sunday on $3,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 18.
