Auburn City Councilors voted Monday to spend $5,000 toward providing a short-term solution to the increasing parking problems in the downtown business area.
The money, which will come from the asphalt paving account, will help supply the area with about 60 additional day-long parking spaces in the Great Falls Plaza lot. The work, which City Manager Charles A. Morrison described as a “good wintertime project,” will be done in-house by the Highway Department.
