DIXFIELD — Mexico High School Class of 1948 will meet for luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the Front Porch.

Blood drive

RUMFORD — A community blood drive will be held from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the American Legion Hall, Congress Avenue. The drive is sponsored by the auxiliary.

There is a need for type O-negative blood.

Book bus to visit

RUMFORD — Bess the Book Bus will visit the Rumford Public Library, 56 Rumford Ave., from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 8. Children visiting the bus will receive a free book. There will be a special 20-minute story time.

All presenting donors will receive a Red Sox/Red Cross T-shirt and have a chance to win two Boston Red Sox tickets to be honored on the field as the Blood Donor of the Game.

Variety show

ANDOVER — There will be a variety show at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Andover Congregational Church. All donations will benefit the Andover Food Pantry.
