GREENE — Announcement is made of the engagement of Stephanie Lynn Schwerdel and Richard Roger Asselin, both of Greene.

The future bride is the daughter of John Schwerdel of Mt. Vernon and Violet and Tom Ball of Whitefield. She attended Winthrop High School, the University of Maine, KLI, the ASA and various industry workshops/trainings. She has been branch manager for more than 10 years at Bonney Staffing Center in Topsham. She currently holds her CSP designation, which focuses on the labor and employment law principles and ethical practices pertaining to the staffing industry.

The future bridegroom is the son of Cecile Asselin of Lewiston and the late Raymond Asselin. He attended Lewiston High School, Maine Maritime and Norwich University. He is business manager at Emerson Toyota and has been with the company for nine years.

The wedding will be held on Aug. 26 at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Lewiston.
