RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Alfred W. “Fred” Arsenault of Rumford on Monday at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius–St. John Church, Rumford with Fr. Phil Tracy as celebrant. Altar assistant was George Gionet and organist was Mark Belanger. Readings were given by his sisters Suzanne Whitehouse and Elizabeth Bates. Eulogy was given by his brother Richard Arsenault. Words of remembrance were given by his sisters Linda Arsenault and Estelle Harrington. Presenting the gifts were his sisters Linda Arsenault and Estelle Harrington. Music included “On Eagle’s Wings,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd,” “We Will Rise Again” and “Be Not Afraid.” Committal services were conducted by Fr. Tracy. Music at the cemetery was “Amazing Grace” sung by his family and friends. Interment was in St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Arrangements were by Meader and Son Funeral Home.
