RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Alfred W. “Fred” Arsenault on Monday at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Phil Tracy as celebrant. Altar assistant was George Gionet and organist was Mark Belanger. Readings were given by his sisters, Suzanne Whitehouse and Elizabeth Bates. The eulogy was given by his brother, Richard Arsenault. Words of remembrance were given by his sisters, Linda Arsenault and Estelle Harrington. Presenting the gifts were his sisters, Linda Arsenault and Estelle Harrington. Music included “On Eagle’s Wings,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd,” “We Will Rise Again” and “Be Not Afraid.” Committal services were conducted by the Rev. Tracy. Music at the cemetery was “Amazing Grace,” sung by his family and friends. Interment was at St. John Cemetery, Rumford. Arrangements were under the care of the Meader and Son Funeral Home.
