RUMFORD — R. David Frum, president of Bridgton and Rumford hospitals, plans to link the two critical access sister hospitals of Central Maine Healthcare closely.

Several departments and services of the two hospitals had been sharing their expertise and training over the years, but under Frum’s leadership the two will move even closer, improving services at both hospitals.

Frum was previously president and CEO of Saint Catherine Regional Hospital, Charlestown, Ind., a 96-bed facility located in a rural area north of Louisville, Ky. His background also includes a vice presidency with the Baptist Healthcare System in Louisville and a regional vice presidency with the Christus Spohn Health System of Corpus Christi, Texas. He has experience in a wide range of hospital management.

After graduating from Louisiana State University with a bachelor of arts degree, he earned a master’s degree in public administration from the same school and a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Frum and his wife live in Sweden with their daughters.
