RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of James “Big Jim” Stoklas was celebrated Saturday at Parish of the Holy Savior. Fr. Philip Tracy was the celebrant. George Gionet was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “Be Not Afraid,” “This is My Fathers World,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd” and “Fly Like a Bird.” Readings were proclaimed by Barbara Doherty. Pallbearers were Andrew Halkett, Michael Witas, Mark Folland and Thomas Stoklas. Honors were rendered by the Maine Military Funeral Honor Guard and the Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Honor Guard. A reception followed at the Chicken Coop. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
