WOODSTOCK — Congressman Mike Michaud will be the guest of honor at the Oxford County Democrats annual barbecue the University of Maine 4-H Camp and Leadership Center on Lake Christopher in Bryant Pond. The event will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 28.
County Democratic Chairwoman Cathy Newell said Michaud will be joined by other Democratic party leaders and officeholders. The center’s facilities include swimming in the lake and hiking trails. Those planning to swim or hike may arrive anytime after 2 p.m.. The program will begin with a meet-and-greet social time at 4:30 p.m., followed by a cookout meal with all the fixings at 5:30 p.m. in the dining hall. There will be an introduction of guests and remarks following the meal.
Tickets are $20 per person including the meal and donation to the Oxford County Democrats. Tickets for children under 10 are $5. To reserve tickets call 875-2116, or e-mail cathyn@megalink.net.
