LEWISTON — Funeral services for Oriel F. “Bud” Gellatly were held Monday at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home with the Rev. Stephen R. Carnahan officiating. During the service, words of remembrance were shared by brother-in-law, Bill Brunot, also fellow Shriners, John Knox, Paul Boudreau and Tom Nason. Also sharing memories of Bud were brother-in-law, Harold Dorr, and cousin, Alexander Gellatly. Also in attendance were a delegations from Androscoggin Bank and Oxford County Credit Union. All in attendance were then invited to greet the Gellatly family with their own personal condolences. After which time the Scottish Highlander Bagpipers of Kora Temple honored Bud in the courtyard of the funeral home which concluded services in Lewiston with “Amazing Grace.” After a reception of fellowship at the Ramada Inn all were invited to graveside committal prayers at Greenwood Cemetery in Dixfield, where the U.S. Air Force honor detail played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Bud’s wife, Joan. Pallbearers were Jeff, Alex, and Scott Gellatly as well as Harold Dorr, William Brunot, and Kier Campbell. Arrangements by both Bibber Memorial Chapel, Kennebunk, and Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home, Lewiston.
