WATERVILLE — Area residents were among 486 seniors who graduated from Colby College May 22, receiving a bachelor of arts degree at the outdoor commencement.

Benjamin F. Mawhinney of Auburn, the son of Daniel Mawhinney of Auburn and Diane Mawhinney of Turner. Mawhinney majored in English. He is a graduate of Holderness School.

Meredith T. Fast of Wilton, the daughter of Robert and Carolyn Fast of Wilton. Fast majored in German studies and graduated with the following honors: distinction in major. She is a graduate of Mount Blue High School.

Emily R. Hilton of Starks, the daughter of Ernest and Gwendolyn Hilton of Starks. Hilton majored in biology and graduated with the following honors: dean’s list. She is a graduate of Madison Area High School.

Tory L. Gray of Farmington, the daughter of Stephen and Jill Gray of Farmington. Gray majored in psychology with a neuroscience concentration and graduated with the following honors: dean’s list. She is a graduate of Mount Blue High School.
