Bill Fournier of Auburn looks over a mural painted by the Franklin School Class of 1990. Fournier, who lives across Pine Street from the old school building, picked the 4- by 6-foot mural painted on plywood out of a dumpster from a renovation project at the building. “I really became attached to the mural not sure why; it must mean something to the students that worked on it and I just could not see it get thrown out,” Fournier said. He hopes a student from that class might want to have it and if no one wants it he plans to hang it outside his garage.
