PORTLAND — Three-time Grammy winner Keb’ Mo’ will bring his brand of the blues, Delta blues and country blues to the State Theatre on Wednesday, Sept. 28.

The singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist plays electric guitars, acoustic guitars and resonator guitars. He also plays harmonica, banjo and keyboards. His distinctive sound embraces multiple eras and genres, including pop, rock folk and jazz, in which he is well-versed.

Keb’ Mo’ is the composer for TNT’s hit television series “Memphis Beat” and performs the show’s theme song.

Keb’ Mo’s 2011 album, “The Reflection,” two years in the making, is a collaboration with such artists as India.Arie, Vince Gill, Marcus Miller, Dave Koz and world-renowned studio musician David T Walker. The 12-song set is his first studio release since his 2006 album, “Suitcase.”

The bluesman, born Kevin Moore in South Los Angeles to parents originally from the deep South, won three Grammys for Contemporary Blues Album and was given a Grammy nomination for Country Song of the Year for “I Hope,” which he co-wrote with the Dixie Chicks.

Tickets to the 7:30 p.m. show are $35 and $25, reserved seating.
