Why can’t the media be an instrument for promoting traditional marriage instead of aiding and abetting the counterfeit thereof?
On Aug. 22, C-Span carried the judiciary hearing on repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act, or DOMA. I can’t believe it.
In this same hearing, reference was made to a cooperative effort by our own Sen. Susan Collins and Sen. Charles Schumer, D-New York, called the Tax Parity Policy. Bottom line on this initiative is that, if passed, it equates same-sex marriage with traditional marriage for tax purposes. It’s dangerous and a moral lie.
Are there two moral truths?
Doesn’t our country have the right to say, “Two men together or two women together is just plain perverse”? Do Collins and Schumer have the right to defy those 44 states that either ban or have a constitutional amendment against same-sex marriage?
Again, I go to the media. Why can’t they be instruments for moral truth?
Is it my imagination or do they purposely tout the gay cause? Who is the media to flout God’s holy laws?
Several notables have made mention of the incredible feat that Maine accomplished by overturning Maine’s same-sex marriage law. But, has the media extolled this feat or does it constantly cater to the gay lobby?
Social critic Malcolm Muggeridge says the media is intent on drawing people away from faith and Christ Jesus. This is true, for they affront a holy God and his holy laws.
