LEWISTON — The Lewiston CareerCenter, 5 Mollison Way, continues its monthly programming, including workshops for job seekers and those who are considering training to upgrade their skills to increase the employability.
An addition to this month’s calendar is a Job Fair from 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 15. More than 30 employers who are hiring will be on hand to recruit for their open positions. Come prepared with resume. For those interested in attending the job fair, the CareerCenter is offering a workshop, How to Prepare for a Job Fair, to be held Sept. 7 from 9-10 a.m., or Sept. 12 from 4 to 5 p.m.
Professionals Moving Ahead! meets on the second and fourth Tuesday each month from 2 to 5 p.m. Presenters cover professional development and job search strategies. Topic for Sept. 13 is Volunteering: A Path to Job Search Success, and for Sept. 27, Marketing Your Assets.
Also available is the Aging Worker Initiative orientation, connecting aging workers (55+) with viable employment and training opportunities in the fields of health care, green energy and technology. Sept. 19, 10:30 a.m. from noon.
Non-Traditional Occupations for Women is offered on the first, second and fourth Thursdays of the month. Registration required. Call 213-0602 or email [email protected] for appointment.
Career Decision Making is a two-part workshop. Offered Sept. 12 and 16, or 26 and 30. Registration required.

Gateway to Employment is held every Thursday from 1 to 4 p.m. Registration required.
Job Search Tips for People with a Criminal History is offered Sept. 9, 9 to -10 a.m. Registration required.
Resume Basics and Interview Skills will be offered Sept. 22, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
