LIVERMORE FALLS — Treat Memorial Library’s summer reading program, “Read S’more Books,” has come to a successful conclusion with a musical finale with Mr. Harley.

Participants read 736 books and 296.4 hours. Recognition was given for the most books/hours read in four different age groups.

In birth to age four: Most books read, Mia and Bailee Van Tassell with 107; most over goal, Rachel Wyman with 38 books over goal.

In ages 5 to 7: Most books read and most over goal, Kassidy Wyman with 38 books over goal.

In ages 8 to 10: Most books read and most over goal, Catherine Smith with 26 books over goal; most hours read, Wade Farnum with 50 hours.

In ages 11 to 13: Most books read and most over goal, Olivia Hobby with 44 books over goal; most hours read, Kaili Grant with 132.4; most hours over goal, Josh Grant with 40 over goal.

Out of the 10 participants who did all 25 activities on the Library Bingo Sheet, Laci Grant won the grand prize drawing.

Elsie’s Re-read Used Book Emporium just received a large donation of VHS movies. There are children’s, mysteries, classics, musicals, science fiction, comedies and more. All are available for 50 cents each.

By Oct. 1, patrons will be required to present their library card in order to check out any item. The library is updating records and issuing new barcodes to all patrons. Cardholders should bring in the current card to receive the new barcode. A replacement will be issued free of charge, but only for the first replacement. After that, replacement cards will cost $1.
