YARMOUTH — Heather Masse of the Canadian folk trio The Wailin’ Jennys and frequent performer on American Public Radio’s “A Prairie Home Companion with Garrison Keillor,” will headline the seventh annual HenryFest.
The outdoor family-oriented music festival, put on by 317 Main Street Community Music School, will take place from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 11, at Skyline Farm.
Also performing will be violinist Darol Anger of Republic of Strings, the David Grisman Quintet and Psychograss; Denver-based guitarist Grant Gordy, also of the David Grisman Quintet; and Boston-based Joy Kills Sorrow, who was recently featured on NPR’s “Mountain Stage” and performed at the Celtic Connections Festival in Glasgow, Scotland.
Also playing will be Joe Walsh and Steve Roy, both of Portland; bluegrass band Jerks of Grass, also of Portland; the spirited ensemble Local Circus; and 317 Main Street student ensembles.
Henryfest activities will also include a pie table, a children’s area including face-painting and a story corner and food vendors.
Tickets, $20, $35 per family, will be sold at the gate. Gates open at 11 a.m. Advance tickets available at 317 Community Music Center or by calling 846-9559 during regular business hours.
