JAY — A joint 61st class reunion of Jay High School and Livermore Falls High School, classes of 1950, was held on July 22 at Lefleur’s Restaurant.
After a social hour, a short class meeting was held by Anita Marchetti and Pauline Fournier. Before luncheon was served, master of ceremonies Maurice Ouellette led the group for a moment of silence for the deceased members of both classes.
Entertainment was provided by Priscillien “Pete” and Elaine Henry who tap danced. Roger Williams on the guitar sang and accompanied his wife, Gladys. Pauline Fournier also sang, accompanied by Roger. Bing and Nancy Crosby played and sang many favorite songs for the group. Several prizes were awarded during the afternoon.
Attending from Jay were Douglas and Barbara McDonald, Priscillien “Pete” and Elaine Henry, Maurice and Ann Ouellete, Eddy and Terry Legere, Bing and Nancy Crosby, Robert and Armance Turmel Rich, Normand and Barbara Ouellette, Rene Labbe, Olive Dubord, Anita Marchetti, Richard and Therese Chicoine McKenna.
Attending from Livermore Falls were Roger and Gladys Nickols Williams, Leo and Norma Lewis Legere, Gordon and Barbara Lane Crossman, Cecil and Mary Ryder, Edith Parker Savage, Patricia Chicoine Libby, Muriel Marcou Bowerman, Joyce Holt Lovewell, Shirley Forbes Turmel, Beverly Dunfey Fournier, Lorraine Pike Boynton and Pauline Jacques Fournier.
