LEWISTON — Advocates for Children is offering the following parenting classes this fall at the B Street Community Center, 57 Birch St., Suite 204.

1-2-3-4 Parents! is a three-week program for parents with children ages 1-4. Learn discipline methods that work, how to prevent tantrums, routines to make life easier and more. The class features video presentations, discussion, workbook activities and group activities. Tuesdays, Sept. 13, 20 and 27 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Lisbon Adult Education. The class is $15 and includes a handbook. Registration is required. To register, call 353-3037.

1-2-3 Magic. Learn an amazingly simple technique to get the kids to stop doing what you don’t want them to do. Learn several effective methods to get your kids to start doing what you do want them to do. Learn powerful techniques that reinforce the bond between you and your children. For parents with children ages 2-12. Thursdays, Oct. 20 and 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Oak Hill Adult Education. Registration is required Fee: $5. To register, call 375-6605.

Boot Camp for New Dads. For men who are expecting a new baby and want to better prepare themselves for their new parenting role. New dads are encouraged to attend with their baby (0-3 months). Thursday, Oct . 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Advocates for Children Free. Registration is required by calling 783-3990.

Parenting 101: Good Discipline. Learn how to engage cooperation; set rules, expectations and limits; alternatives to punishment; and anger management. Tuesday, Nov. 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Advocates for Children Fee: $5. Registration is required; call 783-3990. Recommended for parents with children ages 5-12.

Kids Firs­ts Parenting Through Separation & Divorce. A four-hour program for parents who are in the process of separation or divorce, who wish to lessen the negative impact experienced by their children. Sept. 10, Oct. 8 and Nov. 12 from 8 a.m. to noon. Fee: $60; Limited scholarships available. Registration is required; to register or for more information call 783-3990.
