PHILLIPS — “The Show of Wonder” is coming to the Phillips Area Community Center at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17.

Featuring plenty of audience participation, the show will be a spectacular display of illusions performed by veteran magician Michael Smiley. Michael has performed at festivals, parties, trade shows, corporate banquets, grand openings and the Phillips eighth grade talent show during Old Home Days.

The featured magician at The White Castle Theater for several years, Smiley is returning to Phillips for this benefit performance just prior to his appearance at the Common Ground Country Fair on Sept. 24 and the Fryeburg Fair on Oct. 6 and 8.

Smiley’s performances appeal to all ages, with rave revues from very young children to the not-so-young. He has generously agreed to conjure up his magic to benefit the P.A.C.C. on Depot Street.

Admission is $6 per person (children up to age 6 are free), with tickets available at the door. Admission price includes homemade gingerbread and a beverage before the show. Door opens at 6; show starts at 6:30. To order group tickets, or for more information, call Pam Matthews at 639-2630.
