PARIS — The town will hold a special town meeting on Monday to see if voters will approve designating funds from the Undesignated Fund balance to pay for repairing the boiler at the fire station.
The total cost of a repairing the boiler and energy-saving options, as quoted by W.H. Demmons, is $41,992. This includes maintenance for the first year and replacing the controls for the overhead door system.
The town meeting will be held at 7 p.m. A meeting of the Paris Board of Selectmen will follow. At the board meeting, selectmen plan to set public hearings for the Cornwall Preserve, a proposed fireworks ordinance and road repairs.
The board is also set to discuss town manager evaluation forms, energy audit bids for the town office and Highway Department garage, town office painting bids, Highway Department truck repairs and a smoking policy from Healthy Maine.
The town meeting and the following board meeting are set for 7 p.m. Monday at the town office.
