GARDINER — On Saturday, Oct. 1, the Main Street will be home to Swine & Stein, Gardiner’s version of a traditional Oktoberfest celebration with Maine craft beers, farm-to-table pork and music by emerging Maine bands.
Festivities, which also include a chicken fling, dunk tank and stick pony races, will begin at 11:30 a.m.
A number of restaurants and street vendors from across the state will serve an array of pork-driven dishes. The beer tent will house 10 microbreweries.
Admission, $15, includes all-day entertainment and three five-ounce taster vouchers ($10 for nondrinkers). Advance tickets, $11, are available at Bull Moose music stores and at www.gardinermainstreet.org.
