Mt. Blue 50, MDI 26

BAR HARBOR —Mt. Blue rallied from an early two-touchdown deficit to pull even at the half, then scored on every possession in the third and fourth quarters on its way to a 50-26 victory over Mt. Desert Island in Eastern Class B football.

The Cougars (3-0) were down 20-6 against the Trojans (1-2) before erupting to hit the 50-point plateau for the second straight week.

Running backs Eric Berry and Izaiha Tracy combined for 157 yards and four touchdowns.

Jordan Whitney completed 19 of 23 passes for 196 yards and two TDs. Cam Sennick, Chad Luker and Calan Lucas each tacked on a touchdown for the Cougars, who host Gardiner in a PTC battle of unbeatens next week.

Tracy ran for 54 yards and two touchdowns on four carries and caught 6 passes for 55 yards and a TD that ignited four unanswered scores as the Cougars rallied from the slow start.

Berry added 12 carries for 103 yards.

MDI started the scoring early as Elias Burn reached the end zone two times in the first half. Burn finished with three touchdowns and 179 yards on 28 carries. Jason Burke contributed a rushing touchdown and 124 yards on 10 carries for MDI.
