Four boats competed Friday afternoon in the Northeast Drift Boat Championship, an annual fundraiser for the Upper Andro Anglers Alliance and part of Bethel’s annual Harvest Fest. Jeff and Pattie Parsons of Bethel Outdoor Adventures helped set up the course, which required the drift boats to row between buoys. In front are Brett and Amy Trefethen of Mt. Vernon in the boat Patagonia. Behind them are Chandler Simpkins of Chandler Boat Works in Newry and his friend Marisa Standley of Bethel. The Trefethens took first place with a time of 7:15, second place went to Hope Eagleson of Hillsborough N.H., and Kate Farnham of Bath with a time of 7:19, and third to Scott Stone of Schiavi Homes in Bethel with a time of 7:28.
