Ross Jr.
FARMINGTON — The wedding of Janey Lora Miller and Bennett Ross Jr. was held at 2 p.m. on Oct. 10, 2010, at the home of the grandparents of the bride, Earl and Geneva Luce in Farmington. Pastor Gary Smith officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Ross is the daughter ofAlton and Earlene Miller of Wilton. Mr. Ross is the son of Bennett and Agnes Ross Sr. of New Sharon.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white satin gown with beaded overlay, sweetheart neckline and fingertip veil. The gown was designed and made by the aunt of the bride, Weslene Marble, who also made the four-tier eight- layer wedding cake. She carried a bouquet of white roses and lavender orchids.
Crystal Rines, friend, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Erika Hooper, Kristie Pelletier and Jessica Pooler, friends. Isabella Rines, daughter of the matron of honor, was flower girl.
Best men were Bennett Ross Sr., father of the bridegroom, Charles Ross, brother of the bridegroom, George Ross Sr., uncle of the bridegroom and Alton C. Miller, father of the bride. Ushers were Jacob Miller, nephew of the bride, and George Ross and Alan Ross, cousins of the bridegroom. Nathaniel Ross, godson of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at the home of the grandparents, after which the couple traveled to Cocoa Beach, Fla. They are residing in Etna in their newly purchased home.
The bride is a 1998 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and a 2000 graduate of the University of Maine College in Bangor. She is employed at the Penobscot County District Attorney’s Office in Bangor.
The bridegroom is a 1999 graduate of Mt. Blue High School and is employed at New Balance in Norridgewock.
