HARRISON — The Oxford Hills Area Youth Group is sponsoring a harvest dinner Sept. 30 at 5:30 p.m. at the First Congregational Church in Paris.
The dinner is being held to promote awareness and to support local and organic farming and sharing, according to Miranda Murphy, a ninth-grade student who along with others in the group attended the Overlook Farm (Heifer International) in Massachusetts last month.
“Join your friends and bring your neighbors to this community dinner and visit with our members of the group as we serve you ‘fresh from the local farms and gardens’ foods,” Murphy said. “We would love to tell you more about our trip and what our plans are too.”
The cost is $7. All proceeds go toward local food pantries and making food baskets.
