AUGUSTA — The Maine Gambling Control Board went over changes to basic casino rules at their Tuesday meeting.

The changes add table games to existing Maine gaming rules, which previously dealt mostly with slot machines. Sections on reporting revenue saw changes for table games, including the game report and number of chips missing and value from each table.

Casinos and slot machine facilities are required to report their weekly gross gaming revenue to the Maine Gambling Control Board.

Peter Martin, government affairs adviser for Black Bear Development, said that rules specific to the Oxford casino and table games are still forthcoming and will undergo a public comment period soon.

According to Black Bear Community Development Director Scott Smith, Black Bear submitted its application for a casino operator license on Tuesday. The 25-page application asks for the applicant’s financial history, a detailed business plan and a list of shareholders, partners, creditors and others involved in the casino.

The license requires a $225,000 nonrefundable fee.
