AUBURN — Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at the Alden M. Gayton Post 31, American Legion, 426 Washington St. A bag lunch will follow the meeting. Members are requested to contribute items such as home baked and canned goods, vegetables and miscellaneous items for the raffle table.

Tickets will be on sale for the Oct. 26 Halloween luncheon, the Nov. 7 Thanksgiving dinner with entertainment at Marco’s Restaurant and the Dec. 14 Christmas dinner with entertainment at Ramada Inn. All tickets are $5 and will be on sale until the last meeting of the year which is Oct. 26. There will be no meetings in November or December. Dues must be paid for 2011 in order to attend events.

The group met Sept. 14 with 37 members present and president Helen McGuire presiding. A moment of silence was held, led by chaplain Pat Donohue, in memory of Felix Yurkston who died Sept. 6. Yurkston was a long-time member of Robin Dow Senior Citizens along with his sister Lucy Cowles.

Two seats are still available for the fall foliage trip to Meredith, N.H., on Oct. 10. The trip includes a four-hour long train ride with a buffet luncheon at The Common Man for $68. Birthdays for September were acknowledged. Attendance prize winners were Leone Ford and Callie Adams; pot of gold winners were Leigh Whittle, Lucien Marcoux and Caroline Chapman; mystery prize winners were Helen McGuire, Anna Gavel and Yvette Frechette. Lunch and bingo followed the meeting.
