WILTON — Police say a local man is facing charges after creating an early morning disturbance Saturday on Prospect Street.
Michael Gordon, 22, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct, criminal trespass, criminal threatening and refusing to submit to arrest following the approximately 4:45 a.m. Saturday morning incident, interim Police Chief Richard Billian said in a release.
While Wilton officer Billie Martin was responding to a report of a male walking in the road, yelling and waving his hands, she learned that the suspect had stopped at a Prospect Street home.
He was banging on the door of the home and then threatened the homeowner who came outside on to his porch, Billian said. Gordon would not leave although the homeowner made several requests for him to leave.
Martin stopped the incident from escalating, Billian said. A Jay police officer arrived to back up Martin.
Gordon appeared to be intoxicated and apparently did not know the homeowner.
Gordon was taken to Franklin County Detention Center. He was released later Saturday on $3,000 unsecured bail and has a court date scheduled for Dec. 1.
