OXFORD — Paul M. Heaward, 63, of, Oxford passed away on Sunday, Sept. 25, at his home.

He was born in Leeds, July 26, 1948, the son of James and Laura Bennett Turcotte Heaward. He graduated from Oxford Hills High School and completed sprinkler fitters training program through Penn State University.

He worked at Robinson Manufacturing in his teens and early 20s. Then he worked for Local 669 UA for 32 years, working for Automatic Sprinkler, Grinnell Fire and Dean and Allyn Fire Protection.

He married Brenda Knightly on Dec. 14, 1985. He was a member of the Oxford Masonic Lodge and the Local 669 UA. He coached tee ball and little league.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda of Oxford; sons, Todd and his wife, Jamie and their children, Gavin and Reagan of North Carolina, Scott and his wife, Tiffany and their son, Noah of Tennessee, and Brandon and his partner, Kristianna Springer and their daughter, Adeline, of Oxford; sisters, Joan Knightly and partner, Dan Footer, Gloria Chicoine and husband, Norman (Stub) and Jeanette Netzl and husband, David; half sister, Rhonda Robinson and husband, Lawrence; brothers, Larry and wife, Debi, Tom and wife, Linda and Kirt and his partner, Lisa Lenahan; his stepfather, Frank Bennett; and special friend and Paul’s caregiver, Sonja Bean.

He was predeceased by his mother; his father; sister, Jean; and brothers William and Kenny.
