RUMFORD — Mountain Valley High School has jumped to No. 83 on the Top 100 list for U.S. Cellular’s Calling All Communities campaign, up from their spot at No. 94 earlier this week. The top 18 schools on the list will share $1 million.
Two weeks remain until voting closes on Oct. 6 so the Maine community should make a strong push for their school to win. Other local schools can also join this list during the remainder of the campaign. Maine school supporters can visit any U.S. Cellular store and ask an associate for a voting code. No purchase is necessary and voters do not need to be a U.S. Cellular customer to participate.
The school with the most votes will receive $150,000, while 17 runners-up will each be awarded $50,000. Schools can use the money however they see fit. More than 333,000 votes have been cast to date.
