LEEDS — In June Jason R. Fisher, son of Lisa Fisher of Mechanic Falls and George Fisher Jr. of Leeds, received two scholarships at the Leavitt Area High School graduation ceremony for the Class of 2011.
The Leavitt Area High School Faculty and Staff Scholarship is awarded to a senior with consideration of overall contributions to LAHS during their high school career.
He was also the recipient of the Wallace E. Viles Scholarship Award which is given to a deserving student furthering their education in a field related to medicine.
In the fall, Jason will attend Husson University to pursue his doctorate in physical therapy and bachelor in kinesiology.
