POLAND — Two of the town’s golf courses produced recent milestones.
Summit Springs Golf ‘s nine-hole course record was reset by Ryan Leonard with a score of 30. The previous record of 31 was set by Reg Edwards in 1971, and tied by Rick Plummer in 1994 and again by Garrett Copp in 2002. Members witnessing Leonard’s round were Bill Godin, Dale Lauzier, George Didonna and George Spivey.
At Fairlawn, Bong Adil Jr. carded a hole-in-one on the 13th hole. He used a 5-iron on the 154-yard hole. It was witnessed by Eric Medina.
