Gov. Paul LePage strikes again. This time, when asked by a national news representative about the removal of the mural from the meeting room in the DOT building, he stated that it was removed because it was paid for out of unemployment benefit funds.
That’s just a lie. It came from federal funds designated for the purchase of art work to be placed in the DOT building when it was built.
LePage just keeps planting his foot in his mouth every time he speaks, and he makes the people of Maine look just as stupid as he is when he does it.
At the time of the mural being removed, he clearly stated that it was because it did not represent his view on labor. There was absolutely no mention of a funding source.
If this guy weren’t the governor, he would just be a joke to laugh at but, unfortunately, he is the governor and the citizens of Maine are being represented by him and it makes me sick to think about the laughingstock he is making of himself and us nationally
