AUBURN — This fall students from Franklin School will work to make a difference in the community by offering their spare time to help people prepare for the upcoming winter. In return, the students ask that donations be given to the Bisbee family, who lost their son, Tyler, in a car accident in February. The donations will be used to purchase a headstone for Tyler’s grave.
Tyler was a caring student who before coming to Franklin had a tough time in school with bullies. At Franklin he found a place where he felt accepted. One student described him as “always wanting to get people in a better mood whenever they were down.” He was well loved by the students and he is dearly missed. It’s important to the students to find ways to help his family and let them know they care.
On the weekends students, accompanied by staff and other adult volunteers, will help with fall clean up. They can rake leaves, sweep driveways, plant bulbs, weed flower beds or other small projects.
To make an appointment to have your yard cleaned, call Jen Laliberte at 576-8808, or get involved by being a chaperon or driver, helping with the yard work or by making a donation.
