MEXICO — Mexico Police responded to 97 incidents from Sept. 22 to Oct. 5. Among the incidents since Sept. 22 were:
Drugs
* On Oct. 5 Mexico police working with Oxford County Sheriff’s Cpl. Chancy Libby eradicated 21 marijuana plants from the woods near Poplar Hill Road. The Department was notified of the plot by a plane flying over.
Burglary
* On Sept. 25 at 9:20 a.m. a Granite Street resident reported someone gained access to the inside of her residence during the night and stole more than $750 worth of items from her purse.
Theft
* On Oct. 3 at 10:30 a.m. a Middle Avenue resident reported someone entered his vehicle during the night and went through his glove box. The resident was unaware if anything was taken.
Criminal mischief
* On Sept. 30 at 8:10 a.m. a Sun Valley Circle resident reported someone had slashed vehicle tires and removed the gas-filler door. Estimated damage was $300.
* On Oct. 5 at 12:46 p.m. Food Trend reported someone had shot out their front window with a pellet gun during the night.
Accidents
* On Oct. 2 James Harris, 38, of Dixfield, reported he struck a moose standing in the middle of River Road with his 1999 Ford pickup truck. The moose ran off into the woods. Estimated damage to the vehicle was approximately $4,000.
